Stone masonry structures have been built using arrangement of irregular units. However, a limited number of studies have systematically explored the influence of the masonry unit arrangement on structural behaviour. Additionally, conducting a comprehensive survey of the masonry pattern is challenging due to high costs and time requirements. In this study, a stochastic 2D coursed-rectangular masonry pattern generator has been developed. This generator accounts for epistemic uncertainties in the masonry pattern, addressing the distribution of unit dimensions and ensuring consistent arrangement quality. Subsequently, a micro limit analysis algorithm has been employed to conduct structural simulations and identify structural response distributions when the structure is subjected to horizontal actions. Finally, various survey scenarios are considered to determine the optimal use of surveying resources.
