The Open-Source Multiphysics and Design Software Suite SU2 offers a large variety of state-of-the-art CFD solvers for compressible and incompressible flow but also covers problems of elasticity, heat conduction and radiation. Multiphysics problems can be set up by the user through defining coupling interfaces, e.g. for fluid-structure interaction (FSI) or conjugate heat transfer (CHT), with no limitations set on the number and types of the desired disciplines (physical zones) or interfaces. The discrete adjoint solver in SU2 adepts to the user-defined multiphysics scenarios, giving accurate sensitivities by considering all cross derivative contributions arising from the couplings.
