Collapsible tubes are a simple yet effective model of human vessels. Their rich phenomenology is able to accurately represents the correct geometrical features of a collapsed vessel and the onset of self-excited oscillations. This contribution aims at highlighting the main fluid dynamics features of a biological fluid in different collapsed state of a human vessel. The methodology is based on the implementation of high-fidelity simulations based on a Large Eddy Simulations (LES) numerical model. The numerical model is calibrated to resolve at the same time the hydrodynamic and acoustic fluctuations. The correspondence between the sound power radiated by the collapsible tube and its collapse state is analysed.
