Optimisation of Temperature-Controlled Transportation

This presentation delves into the optimisation of temperature-controlled transportation. In particular, we discuss the decarbonisation of the cold chain logistics as a matter of improving its energy efficiency. We show how energy losses may be minimised by means of effective logistics management, including the application of the vehicle routing problem (VRP). Additionaly, technical and economic limitations of the approach are discussed.
