Dynamic Analysis of Multilink-Multiphysics PZT Based Beam Networks

Multiphysics network of beams can be thought of as many smart beams joining at particular connection points, passive examples are truss and satellite bae-type linkages. The one dimensional 'smart' beam equation derived only for single sensor beam is refined to accommodate both the direct and inverse effects of the piezoelectric based smart beams. Clamped-clamped swept smart beam with one link as actuator and other as sensor is analyzed. Results generated in mechanical and electrical terms by the present one-dimensional analysis is compared with the robust three-dimensional FE simulation through ABAQUS simulator. Promising results proves the efficacy of the present theory.
